These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to spectides.com and purchases from SpecTides (“Company,” “we,” “us”). By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. Research use only
All products are sold strictly for laboratory, analytical, and research purposes. Products are not for human or animal consumption. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. SpecTides is not a compounding pharmacy or outsourcing facility under Sections 503A or 503B of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Statements on this site have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old. By ordering, you represent that you are purchasing for lawful research use only and that you will follow all applicable laws.
3. Buyer responsibility
You are solely responsible for how products are stored, handled, and used in your laboratory. You accept all risk associated with research use. We do not provide medical, veterinary, or dosing advice.
4. Accounts and information
You agree to provide accurate billing, shipping, and contact information. You are responsible for activity under your account.
5. Orders
An order is an offer to buy. We may accept, reject, or cancel any order, including for suspected non-research use, inventory issues, pricing errors, or payment problems. Order numbers may appear with a SPEC prefix.
6. Prices and payment
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change without notice. Payment is due at checkout. Available methods may include Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, and crypto or card-to-crypto checkout through PayRam. We do not currently rely on a standard card merchant account. You must send the exact order total and include your order number in the payment memo where applicable.
7. Shipping
Title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier receives the shipment. Delivery dates are estimates. We are not responsible for carrier delays, weather, or incorrect addresses you provide.
8. Inspection
Inspect packages on arrival. Report damaged or missing items to hello@spectides.com within 48 hours of delivery, with photos and your order number.
9. Returns and refunds
Because products are research materials, all sales are generally final once shipped, except as stated in our Refund and Returns Policy. Unopened products returned with prior authorization may be considered at our discretion. Opened, reconstituted, or temperature-abused items are not returnable.
10. Product information
Descriptions, CAS numbers, purity values, and quantities are provided for research identification. The lot Certificate of Analysis controls if there is a conflict. We may correct errors.
11. Prohibited uses
You may not use this site or our products to:
- consume, resell, or market products as drugs, supplements, or treatments
- violate any law
- interfere with the site or other users
- scrape or copy the catalog for competing storefronts
12. Intellectual property
Site content, logos, and product copy belong to SpecTides or its licensors. You may not copy them without written permission.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
Products and the site are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, SpecTides and its owners, employees, and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits. Our total liability for any claim related to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold SpecTides harmless from claims arising out of your use of the site, your handling of products, or your violation of these Terms.
16. Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
17. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a new version on this page. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Georgia have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any court.
